At the seminar, in-depth exchanges were carried out and many consensuses were reached in terms of the development of “New Engineering” Construction, talent cultivation and scientific research cooperation mode, young teachers’ practical training, and student employment. The first is that the “New Engineering” Construction emphasized by President XI needs to be fully understood and to align with the new development trend of big data and carbon neutrality emerging in the industry, the University needs to join hands with different institutes to strengthen the integration of disciplines and majors and cultivate comprehensive and innovative talents of engineering and architecture. The second is to invite senior architects to classroom teaching so that the development needs of the industry can be incorporated into the teaching content. The third is to establish a team of on-campus and off-campus master and doctoral tutors with strong scientific research and practical capabilities to promote the level of postgraduate education. The fourth is to jointly establish the think tank of capital city planning and construction which will provide basic theoretical and experience support to government decision-making and talent cultivation of engineering and architecture. The fifth is to carry out guidance on the all-round talent development and employment targeting the career training of undergraduates, masters and doctors, the improvement of young teachers’ practical capacities, and the training of young architectural designer of the institutes.
