NI Hong, Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group and Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, visited the exhibition of BUCEA at the China International Urban Construction Exposition

The 21st China International Urban Construction Exposition was held at the China International Exhibition Center from June 19 to June 21. BUCEA’s scientific and technological innovation achievements serving Beijing were displayed in the special exhibition area.

On the morning of June 21, NI Hong, Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group and Minister of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, visited the exhibition area of BUCEA for inspection and guidance. ZHANG Dayu, President of BUCEA, introduced the university’s scientific and technological innovation achievements to NI Hong who inquired in detail about BUCEA’s innovation activities in serving Beijing and expressed his appreciation for the “Big Life in Small Space—Residential Area Microspace Transformation” organized and implemented by BUCEA.

With a focus on the theme of this year’s Urban Construction Exposition, the Research Development Institute of BUCEA set up three thematic sections, i.e. “Tracing the History, Building a Happy Home, and Expanding the Future City”. Based on BUCEA’s superior disciplines, various forms such as text-image display boards, physical models, and video exhibitions fully demonstrate BUCEA’s basic research innovations, key core technologies, typical demonstration cases, technology integration applications, and industrialization demonstrations in the fields of historical city protection, urban renewal and transformation, and future architectural technology etc., as well as the work and achievements in terms of discipline development, platform construction, and personnel training etc., which reflects the important contributions made by Beijing municipal universities to the development of the capital.

This year’s Urban Construction Exposition is supported by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, with the theme of “People’s City, Happy Home”.
