On January 25, the second session of the 16th Beijing Municipal People’s Congress announced that WANG Jianzhong, an alumnus of BUCEA, was elected Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal People’s Congress.

WANG Jianzhong, born in August 1964, worked at BUCEA from 2014 to 2018 as the university’s CPC Committee Secretary. He was a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and the Vice President of Beihang University as well as Deputy Minister of the Organization Department of the Beijing Municipal CPC Committee (chief at the department and bureau level). He is now a member and Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal People’s Congress. He is also the deputy minister of the Organization Department of the Beijing Municipal CPC Committee in charge of day-to-day work (chief at the department and bureau level).
