On the morning of July 13, the kickoff and demonstration meeting of the project “Core Technology for Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Temporary Facilities of Beijing Winter Olympics” under China’s National Key R&D Program “High-Tech-Based Winter Olympics” was held at BUCEA in the context of celebrating the 20th anniversary of Beijing’s successful bid for the 2008 Summer Olympics and preparing for the upcoming Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, marking that the university has entered a new phase in serving the capital’s construction and the Winter Olympics.
Leaders from the Department of Science and Technology for Social Development of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Administrative Center for China’s Agenda 21, Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, etc., addressed the meeting. 13 experts from the China Institute of Building Standard Design & Research Co., Ltd., Beijing Science and Technology Cooperation Center, Tsinghua University, Beihang University, Beijing Enterprises J.O Construction Co., Ltd., Institute of High Energy Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, etc., were invited to attend the meeting. Professor ZHANG Ailin, President of BUCEA, and Professor LI Junqi, Vice President of BUCEA were present at the meeting. Nearly 70 delegates who were leaders and core members of research groups from institutions involved in the project, took part in the meeting.
