The 2nd technical exchange on China’s road construction hosted by BUCEA andAvtodor draws to a close

On April 26th, the 2nd technical exchange on China’s road construction jointly carried out by Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA) and Russian Highways State Company (Avtodor) successfully drew to a close.

With the Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium (BRAUIC) as a platform, BUCEA signed a cooperation agreement with Avtodor, and organized the first technical exchange and sum-up meeting on China’s road construction in 2022. The second technical exchange was supported by Guangdong Pearl River Delta Intercity Rail Transit Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Institute of Communications Co., Ltd., Chongqing Pengfang Pavement Engineering Technical Research Co.,Ltd., Shanghai Jumbo Consulting Co., Ltd., Glodon Co., Ltd., Changsha University of Science and Technology and other units. The activity was held online, aiming at strengthening pragmatic cooperation in the field of highway construction between China and Russia, exploring the frontier theory and practice of highway engineering, and establishing a long-term technical communication and exchange mechanism.

The 2nd technical exchange on China’s road constructionstarted on the afternoon of April 11th. The opening ceremony was attended by Vyacheslav Petushenko, Chairman of the Board of Avtodor, and Igor Koval, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Avtodor and more than 150 Russian representatives. It was moderated by DING Shuai, Vice President of International Development Research Institute (School of International Education).

The activities was held from April 11th to 12th, and from April 25th to 26th. BUCEAissued certificates for the invited speakers.

During this activity, Chinese and Russian experts gathered online to discuss in details the latest technical and theoretical experience in the field of highway construction of the two countries.

After two years of running-in, the technical exchange in the field of highway construction in China has become a brand activity to cultivate high-quality and international cross-border talents with innovative ability in the professional fields ofChina and Russia. At the invitation of Russia, the exchange activities will be held on a regular basis and be driven by the goal of sustainable development.
