Recently, the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality officially announced the winners of the 18th Beijing Award for Excellence in Philosophy and Social Sciences. A project led by Professor ZHANG Qinghua from Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA), titled Report on Legislative Experience in Underground Space and Recommendations for Beijing , received the Second Prize.

The Beijing Award for Excellence in Philosophy and Social Sciences is the highest-level and most influential government award in the field of philosophy and social sciences in the capital city. It is presented every two years to recognize individuals or teams that have made outstanding contributions to research in philosophy and social sciences. A total of 210 achievements were recognized in this round, including 5 Special Prizes, 40 First Prizes, and 165 Second Prizes.
