Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA) signed a framework agreement on strategic cooperation with China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) on May 15th. Notable attendees include ZHENG Yu, Secretary of the CPC Committee, BUCEA; ZHANG Dayu, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of BUCEA; LI Junqi, Member of the CPC Standing Committee and Vice President of BUCEA; ZHU Jing, Member of the CPC Standing Committee and Vice President of BUCEA; WEN Bing, Deputy Party Secretary and President of CSCEC; along with others.

ZHENG Yu pointed out that this signing marks a new chapter for the bilateral cooperation in deepening the integration between industry and education and jointly transforming and upgrading the construction industry so as to serve the national strategy and promote high-quality development of China’s capital Beijing in the new era. It will play a great role in promoting the development of the University and serve as a paragon of in-depth integration between industry and education as well as university-enterprise cooperation.

ZHANG Dayu said in his speech that the University has been maintaining close cooperation with CSCEC, which operates on a sound foundation and delivers fruitful outcomes. Next step, the two sides will take opportunities in urban renewal, rural revitalization, zero-carbon buildings, and smart buildings, etc., to jointly build a platform for research and innovation, deepen university-enterprise cooperation, and promote the commercialization and application of scientific and technological achievements.
