The World’s Top 2% Scientists List is published by Professor John P. A. Ioannidis and his team, determined by six key metrics including the total number of citations, h-index, and hm-index. Scientists are classified into 22 broad fields and 176 sub-fields. Of nearly 7 million scientists around the world, only those who rank in the top 2% are selected. The Career-Long Impact ranking reflects the overall impact of a scientist’s career, while the Single-Year Impact focuses on their academic influence in the past year.
