BUCEA Successfully Held the 7th Mathematics and Physics Cultural Festival

The School of Science convened a working meeting themed on promoting the educational and academic quality and the opening ceremony of the 7th Mathematics and Physics Cultural Festival on June 8. JIANG Zeting, Secretary of the CPC Committee of BUCEA, LI Aiqun, Vice President of BUCEA, BAI Mang, member of the CPC Standing Committee of BUCEA, attended the meeting. Besides, heads of relevant administrative departments, faculty and student representatives, and all teachers and students of the School of Science were present.

At the meeting, YANG Zhun, a professor from the Department of Engineering Graphics, School of Science, shared her insights regarding achieving strict class management, instructing students to perform better in various contests, and caring more about students’ development. Lecturer CUI Huijuan, Director of the University Physics and Experimental Teaching Center, School of Science, and teacher representative of the 12th Beijing Municipal University-Level Basic Teaching Skills Contest, presented a teaching demonstration lesson. HOU Shanshan, a student from Class 182 of the Water Section of the School of Environment and Energy Engineering, shared what she harvested from participating in a Mathematics and Physics Competition. AN Tong, a student from Class 191 of the Information Section, School of Science, and the initiator of the “Sunflower Classroom” project, elaborated on the progress of the “Sunflower Classroom” project on student tutoring.

The Mathematics and Physics Cultural Festival has been successfully held six times at BUCEA since 2015. It aims to promote the culture of mathematics and physics among faculty and students around the University and arouse their enthusiasm for better learning relevant subjects, appreciating their beauty more and thus applying them more in daily life.
