BUCEA achieves fruitful results in the “Youth-driven Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Beijing” 2022 “Challenge Cup” Capital College Students’ Business Plan Competition

Recently, defenses of the “Youth-driven Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Beijing” 2022 “Challenge Cup” Capital College Students’ Business Plan Competition came to an end. Students’ entries recommended by BUCEA won one gold prize, four silver prizes and four bronze prizes in the main category, among which “Digital Twin Detectors: 3D Surveying and Mapping and Visual Data Processing Systems” was the gold-prize-winning project. In the special categories, BUCEA’s entries won seven silver prizes and five bronze prizes with two projects winning gold prizes, namely, “Startup Project on Informatization of Comprehensive Renovation of Old Communities” and “Intelligent Disinfection Leader of Rail Transit: Real-time Obstacle Avoidance Disinfection Devices Based on Deep Learning”.

It is learned that the “Challenge Cup” College Students’ Business Plan Competition is a comparatively large-scale, authoritative, and influential entrepreneurship competition for national college students with a wide range of high-quality entries involved in various fields. The “Challenge Cup” Capital College Students’ Business Plan Competition was co-hosted by CCYL Beijing Municipal Committee, Beijing Municipal Education Commission, and other departments with a setting of “One Cup with Five Categories”. “One Cup” refers to the main category covering five themes, including technological innovation and future industry, ecological conservation and sustainable development, cultural creative and regional cooperation, rural revitalization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas, and urban governance and social services. A total of 107 projects won the gold prize. 197 projects were awarded the silver prize and 291 projects earned the bronze prize.

In addition, there were five special categories. They were “Youth-supported Winter Olympics” Special Competition on Application of Winter Olympics’ Legacy, “Global Youths” Special Competition for International Students, “Youth-drawn CCYL History” Special Competition on Cultural Creative Expression, “Youth-vitalized Beijing Suburbs” Special Competition on Revitalization of Rural Areas, and “Youth Startups in Municipal Administrative Center” Special Competition on Entrepreneurship in Beijing Municipal Administrative Center. A total of 95 projects won the gold prize. 373 projects were awarded the silver prize and 566 projects earned the bronze prize.
