BUCEA signs strategic cooperation framework agreement with Beijing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau

On January 30, the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation framework agreement between BUCEA and the Beijing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau was held at the bureau’s office. Leaders and department heads from both sides attended, including Party Secretary ZHENG Yu and Director TONG Lizhi of the Civil Affairs Bureau, as well as WANG Pan, Chairman of the BUCEA Council, and ZHANG Dayu, President of BUCEA.

TONG Lizhi introduced the work of the Civil Affairs Bureau and expressed hope for active cooperation between the two sides.

ZHANG Dayu highlighted BUCEA’s development history and landmark achievements. He looked forward to using the signing as an opportunity to deepen collaboration in areas such as planning and construction of elderly care facilities in the capital and the enhancement of existing funeral spaces.

ZHENG Yu remarked that the cooperation represents an active attempt at a “civil affairs scenario + BUCEA solution,” and is a vivid example of higher education participating in social governance.

WANG Pan noted that BUCEA will work closely with the Civil Affairs Bureau to make greater contributions in areas including the renovation of civil affairs service facilities, improvement and optimization of funeral spaces, and the research, development, and application of smart civil affairs technologies.

According to the agreement, both sides will carry out comprehensive cooperation across the following areas: planning and design of civil affairs service facilities; professional social services and related support; informatization and technology R&D; industry exchanges; student aid and employment; talent development; etc.
