Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Education issued “the Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on Releasing the List of National and Provincial First-class Undergraduate Majors in 2021” (No. 14 [2022] Document of Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education), which recognized BUCEA’s Mechanical and Electronic Engineering and other four majors as the national first-class undergraduate majors, and Information and Computing Science and other six majors as Beijing municipal first-class undergraduate majors. By far, BUCEA’s 17 majors have been selected as national first-class undergraduate majors, accounting for 50% of all undergraduate majors in the university, and 25 first-class undergraduate majors at the Beijing municipal level or above, accounting for 75% of all undergraduate majors in the university.
