On the afternoon of June 3, BUCEA invited Academician GUO Huadong to give a lecture for the 3rd Architectural Heritage Protection and Innovation Lecture. Before the lecture, JIANG Zeting, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the University, and LI Weiping, LI Aiqun, and LI Junqi, Vice Presidents of BUCEA, held a discussion with Academician GUO Huadong in the reception room of BUCEA’s Daxing campus library. SUN Dongmei, Member of the Standing Committee of the University’s CPC Committee, and heads from the International Development Research Institute, Culture Development Research Institute, and the School of Geomatics and Urban Spatial Informatics also attended the event. The report was presided over by Vice President LI Junqi.

In the Q & A session, Professor LI Aiqun, Member of BUCEA’s Standing Committee of CPC Committee, Vice President of BUCEA and also Dean of the International Development Research Institute, Professor JIANG Jie, Executive Dean of the International Development Research Institute, Professor DU Mingyi, Dean of the School of Geomatics and Urban Spatial Informatics, Professor SUN Xilei, Executive Dean of the Culture Development Research Institute, as well as young teacher representatives consulted Academician GUO Huadong on related issues mentioned in the lecture.

After the meeting, Academician GUO Huadong, Professor LI Aiqun, and other participants visited the School of Geomatics and Urban Spatial Informatics, the Large Multi-Functional Shaking Table Matrix Laboratory, and the Full-Scale Replica of the Buddhist Statue at the No. 18Yungang Grotto.
