Two BUCEA-led projects win Outstanding Scientific Research Output Awards from Ministry of Education

The Ministry of Education has recently announced the recipients of the 2025 Outstanding Scientific Research Output Awards (Natural Sciences and Engineering Technology). BUCEA secured awards for two projects as the leading institution. The project “Theories, Key Technologies, and Applications for the Conservation and Inheritance of Rural Settlement Heritage,” led by Professor ZHANG Dayu, received the Second Prize. Another BUCEA-led project, “Key Technologies and Applications for the Coordinated Control of Urban Rainwater Runoff Quantity and Quality and the Assurance of Water Environmental Quality,” led by Professor LI Junqi, also received the Second Prize.

Established by the Ministry of Education, the award is conferred on university teachers, researchers, and relevant institutions that have achieved outstanding results and made significant contributions in natural science research and engineering innovation, and that have contributed to the cultivation of innovative talent. It is one of the most prestigious and influential scientific research awards among higher education institutions nationwide.
