BUCEA holds online meeting with State University of Land Use Planning, Russia

On March 20, BUCEA held an online meeting with the State University of Land Use Planning (SULUP), Russia to discuss potential collaboration. The two sides reached important consensus on establishing inter-university partnerships, promoting faculty and student exchanges, and advancing joint training programs for international students. CHEN Zhaohui, Vice President of BUCEA, and Alexey Sereda, Vice-Rector of SULUP, attended the meeting.

CHEN Zhaohui introduced BUCEA’s overall profile and distinctive strengths. She noted that, as a century-old, municipally administered high-level university, BUCEA has developed strong expertise in areas such as urban planning, surveying and mapping, and architectural heritage conservation. She put forward four proposals: first, inviting SULUP to join the Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium (BRAUIC); second, encouraging participation in the Luban Global School talent development programs to promote student exchange and joint training; third, extending an invitation to SULUP faculty and students to take part in the International Summer School on Smart Cities; and fourth, proposing joint collaboration in the development of the Global Platform for Digital Preservation of Architectural Heritage and Its Innovative Application.

Vice-Rector Alexey Sereda noted that SULUP has formally submitted its application to join the BRAUIC. He expressed SULUP’s willingness to pursue deeper cooperation with BUCEA in areas including faculty and student exchange, research collaboration, and joint training programs.

Both sides also held in-depth discussions on cooperation mechanisms and implementation pathways for future initiatives.
