The Fair of Making 2021 has successfully held its opening ceremony in BUCEA’s Xicheng Campus on the morning of May 29^th. Guided by the Architectural Society of China (ASC), and supported by the Organizing Committee of Beijing Design Week and the Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Future Urban Design, the event is hosted by BUCEA and undertaken by the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of BUCEA. ZHOU Wenlian, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of ASC, WANG Yudong, Deputy Director of Beijing Design Week Organizing Committee Office, LI Aiqun, Vice President of BUCEA, and JIN Qiuye, Executive Deputy Dean of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, and other heads attended the opening ceremony.

The event was simultaneously held online and offline and included the opening ceremony and academic colloquiums, followed by project proposal discussions. It invited students and faculty from seven architecture-related colleges and universities in Beijing to attend the ceremony and engage in the discussion. Those institutions are (in alphabetical order): Beijing Forestry University, Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Beijing University of Technology, Central Academy of Fine Arts, North China University of Technology, and Tsinghua University.
