Symposium on Digital Protection and Active Utilization of Architectural Heritage for Afghanistan Talent Training Program for Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Preservation held at BUCEA

On the afternoon of August 26, the Symposium on Digital Protection and Active Utilization of Architectural Heritage for Afghanistan Talent Training Program for Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Preservation was held at the Daxing Campus of BUCEA. Sponsored by China’s Ministry of Commerce and organized by Central Academy of Culture and Tourism Administration, the Symposium was attended by YANG Jianwei, Vice President of BUCEA, WANG Zhiyuan, Deputy Director of the International Exchanges Department of Central Academy of Culture and Tourism Administration, 23 experts from the Training Program, and representatives of relevant schools and departments of BUCEA.

YANG Jianwei, Vice President of BUCEA, expressed sincere welcome and gratitude on behalf of the University to the experts of the Training Program and Central Academy of Culture and Tourism Administration for their trust, after which he gave a detailed introduction to BUCEA.

WANG Jian, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Geomatics and Urban Spatial Informatics (BUCEA) expressed warm welcome to Afghan experts.

Mayer Aka Karim, head of the Training Program, expressed his gratitude to BUCEA on behalf of the delegation for the warm reception and meticulous arrangement, hoping for more opportunities for exchanges and cooperation in the future.

On the symposium, the two sides discussed issues such as fine reconstruction and virtual restoration of architectural heritage, after which the workshop members toured around the University.
