According to the Department of Publicity and Culture of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology (BAST), the list of “Most Beautiful Scientific and Technological Workers” in Beijing in 2023 was unveiled on May 6, when the seventh National Science and Technology Workers’ Day is approaching. 10 science and technological workers, including YANG Bogang, the 1979 alumni of BUCEA’s engineering surveying major, the director of the Beijing Key Laboratory of Urban Spatial Information Engineering of the Beijing Institute of Surveying and Mapping, and professor-level senior engineer, were elected as Beijing’s “Most Beautiful Scientific and Technological Worker” in 2023.

It is reported that “Most Beautiful Scientific and Technological Worker” is a publicity activity jointly carried out by six departments including the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the China Association for Science and Technology.
