On October 27, the outcome appraisal meeting organized by Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES) on the project “Key Technology and Application of Friction Stir Welding Manufacturing and Operation of Aluminum Alloy Truck Body” was held at Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA) . The project was jointly completed by BUCEA, Shenhua Railway Lorry Transportation Co., Ltd., and Crrc Yangtze Co., Ltd.

Attendees of the meeting include Academician CHEN Xuedong from CMES and experts from Tsinghua University, Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing Forestry University, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing Information Science and Technology University, and Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, leaders of BUCEA’s Research Development Institute and School of Mechanical-Electronic and Vehicle Engineering, and project team members. LI Junqi, Standing Member of CPC Committee and Vice President of BUCEA, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Director MEI Yi of CMES introduced the experts and leaders who attended the appraisal meeting and the information about the meeting. Welcoming the experts on behalf of the university, LI Junqi introduced the personnel training, scientific research, discipline construction and social service of the School of Mechanical-Electronic and Vehicle Engineering in recent years. The experts elected Academician CHEN Xuedong as the head of the appraisal committee to preside over the appraisal meeting.
