Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission and the Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park recently released the 2022 list of supported institutions for projects of technology transfer institutions’ market-oriented engagement of technical managers. 12 institutions including Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA) and Peking University gained support.

Promoting the team building of technical managers in Beijing is one of the supporting policies for a new round of pilot reforms in Zhongguancun. The policy supports higher education institutions, R&D institutions, and healthcare and medical institutions to formulate and improve the salary allocation system, and enables them to engage technical managers in a market-oriented way and adopt negotiable salary allocation methods that are in line with the characteristics of different positions.

The successful application of the project of market-oriented engagement of technical managers provides new platforms and opportunities for BUCEA to upgrade technology transfer and transformation services.
