On October 21, BUCEA and Architectural Society of China (ASC) jointly opened the Master Lecture Series. As the first guest speaker, MA Guoxin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, national engineering survey and design master, and chief consultant of Beijing Institute of Architectural Design (Group) Co., Ltd. delivered a wonderful academic report on the topic of “Beijing Practice of First-Generation Chinese Architects”. The lecture also invited JIN Lei, Deputy Director and Secretary General of the 20th-century Architectural Heritage Committee under China Cultural Relics Academy as another guest speaker. LI Cundong, Secretary General of ASC, JIANG Zeting, Secretary of the CPC Committee of BUCEA, ZHANG Dayu, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of BUCEA, leaders of the Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development and the School of Architecture and Urban Planning as well as other relevant faculty and students attended the lecture. Based on the long history of cooperation, BUCEA and ASC jointly held the Master Lecture Series, inviting top experts from home and abroad as guest speakers in the hope that their devotion to family and country and their rigorous spirit as a scholar will inspire and encourage generations of BUCEA students and urban construction professionals.

The exhibition “Hundred Years of Classics: Tribute to Beijing Practice of First-Generation Chinese Architects” will be on display in the lobby of the first floor of No.2 building of the Xicheng campus until October 31, and will continue to be displayed in the exhibition hall of the Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Future Urban Design.
