The training for Vietnam officials on national management experience and planning, management, investment, and development of green, smart, and modern cities was concluded successfully on August 28. Officials from relevant departments and 22 civil servants from the Hanoi City Hall attended the ceremony.
LI Junqi, Vice President of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA), on behalf of the University and the Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium, extended his warm congratulations and high praise to the Vietnamese officials who had completed this training. He also expressed his gratitude to the experts, scholars, teachers and staff involved. He believed that this training not only enabled the two sides to enhance mutual understanding but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Liu, head of the workshop and Deputy Director of the Hanoi City Hall, spoke on behalf of the 22 officials of the Vietnamese Government. In her view, the workshop not only provided valuable learning opportunities for civil servants in Hanoi but also promoted in-depth exchanges between the two cities in urban planning and management. She expressed her anticipation for more opportunities for cooperation with BUCEA to further strengthen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in urban construction and management.
The training, which includes themed lectures, investigation visits and exchanges, aims to deepen the exchanges and cooperation between China and Vietnam in urban management, share advanced management experience, and explore the path of building green smart cities.
As the chairman’s unit and secretariat’s unit of the Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium, BUCEA has been leading and contributing to further exchanges and cooperation with partner universities and research institutions. To enhance talents cultivation and scientific and technological cooperation in construction engineering, BUCEA has organized a series of activities, in a bid to promote its international development and reputation.
