BUCEA & UNS holds Status Update Meeting of Beijing International Innovation Center for Architectural Heritage Protection and Development in the Belt and Road Region

In the afternoon of March 14, BUCEA and the University of Novi Sad, Serbia (UNS) jointly held Status Update Meeting of Beijing International Innovation Center for Architectural Heritage Protection and Development in the Belt and Road Region. President ZHANG Dayu, Vice Presidents LI Junqi and YANG Jianwei, as well as three researchers from UNS, including Prof. Dr. Jelena Atanackovic-Jelicic, Head of Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, attended the meeting, which was presided over by BUCEAs President Assistant QI Fei. 

ZHANG Dayu said that in last October, the two universities successfully signed the Letter of Intent on the Innovation Center at the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, and started in-depth cooperation in architectural heritage conservation and sustainable development of historic cities with colleges and universities, international academic organizations, enterprises and other entities in the countries and regions participating the Belt and Road Initiative. He suggested that the two sides bring together the technological and resource advantages in architectural heritage protection, sustainable development and protection of historic cities, and high-level talent cultivation, and carry out further cooperation in terms of high-level international scientific research cooperation, talent cultivation and people-to-people exchanges.

 

At the meeting, representatives from both sides introduced the progress and achievements of their work, and discussed the development goals, key tasks, and operation mechanisms of the Innovation Center in 2024.
