Professor XU Ying wins 6th Youth Teaching Master Awards in Beijing Universities and Colleges

Recently, Beijing Municipal Education Commission issued the “Notice on Releasing Winners of the 2022 Teaching Master Awards in Beijing Universities and Colleges (No. 396/2022)”, with Professor XU Ying from BUCEA’s School of Civil and Transportation Engineering winning a Youth Teaching Master Award.

The Teaching Master Awards in Beijing Universities and Colleges were established in 2004 by Beijing Municipal Education Commission. In 2017, a new category of Youth Teaching Master Awards was added. BUCEA has a total number of 15 teachers receiving the awards, including 11 Teaching Master Awards (4 teachers on the job) and 4 Youth Teaching Master Awards.

In his research, Professor XU mainly focuses on road engineering structures and materials. Having led three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, he has published over 50 papers in journals above the level of Core Journals of China, with nine national invention patents granted. In addition, Professor XU has edited four industrial or local standards. With his research achievements, he has won seven technology-related awards at provincial or ministerial levels, including a First Prize of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award conferred by the Ministry of Education.
