Four professors from BUCEA included in Elsevier 2023 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list

Recently, Elsevier released its 2023 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers List,which includes four professors from BUCEA. They are Prof. WANG Chongchen, Prof. GAO Dawen, Prof. TIAN Guangdong and Prof. WANG Yanxue. Among them, Professor WANG Chongchen and Professor WANG Yanxue is recognized as highly cited researchers in the field of civil engineering, Professor GAO Dawen is recognized in the field of ecology, and Professor TIAN Guangdong is recognized in the field of mechanical engineering. The inclusion of these four professors on the list significantly enhances the international academic influence of BUCEA in their respective fields.

Brief Introduction of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers

WANG Chongchen, Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Environment & Energy Engineering, director of Beijing Key Laboratory for Functional Materials for Building Structure and Environmental Restoration, associate editor and editorial board member for more than 10 journals including Chinese Chemical Letters. He also serves as a director/deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Materials Research Society.

His main research interests include environmental functional materials and water culture in Beijing.

GAO Dawen, Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Environment & Energy Engineering. He serves as an editorial board member for the academic journals of the International Water Association (IWA), a member of the Nutrient Removal and Recovery Management Committee of the International Water Association (IWA), an editorial board member for international journals such as MethodsX, and the deputy director of the Pollution Ecology Professional Committee of the Ecological Society of China. He has been awarded the State Council Special Allowance.

His primary research focuses on new theories and technologies for ecological restoration of urban environment.

TIAN Guangdong, Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Mechanical- Electronic & Vehicle Engineering. He is elected as an academician of the World Academy of Productivity Science, a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and an IEEE Senior Member.

His research interests include green manufacturing and green construction, product dismantling and remanufacturing, intelligent manufacturing, operation and maintenance, and automotive (indoor, urban, ecological) environment and health.

WANG Yanxue, Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Mechanical- Electronic & Vehicle Engineering, Humboldt Scholar. He serves as a director of the Fault Diagnosis Branch of the Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering, an IEEE Member, and a manuscript reviewer for multiple international journals.

His research focuses on modeling and analysis of mechanical system dynamics, advanced dynamic signal processing and feature extraction, high-end equipment fault diagnosis and intelligent maintenance, prediction of residual life and health management of complex systems and structural non-destructive testing and embedded systems.
