On May 25, Beijing Education Trade Union announced the recommended candidates of the “Education Pioneer” in Beijing Municipal Education System. Six people from BUCEA were awarded the title, including JIANG Jie and ZHANG Yanxia as the “Education Pioneer in Teaching”, HE Lixin and TIAN Fang as the “Education Pioneer in Managing”, and LIU Yanhua and ZHANG Fubing as the “Education Pioneer in Service”.

JIANG Jie – The “iron rose” in surveying and mapping science and technology

JIANG Jie is currently a Tier-2 professor and PhD supervisor at the School of Geomatics and Urban Spatial Informatics of BUCEA, a fellow of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), current Secretary-General of ISPRS, holding other important positions in many academic institutions, including China Association for Science and Technology, Chinese Society for Geodesy Photogrammetry and Cartography, China Association for Geospatial Industry and Sciences, GNSS&LBS Association of China, China Association of Construction Education.

ZHANG Yanxia – The “heroine” in the steel structural system for students

ZHANG Yanxia is the professor and PhD supervisor of the School of Civil and Transportation Engineering, currently the head of the second-level discipline of Structural Engineering of Civil Engineering, and is also a member of the expert committee of China Steel Construction Society and the expert committee of Beijing Assembly Building, among other positions.

HE Lixin - The “front runner” along the School’s development

HE Lixin is the Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning and the Chairman of the Branch Union of the School.

TIAN Fang - The “kind sister” for young students

TIAN Fang, assistant researcher, is currently the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Electrical and Information Engineering.

LIU Yanhua - The “caring person” of the faculty and staff

LIU Yanhua is the Standing Deputy Chairperson of the Teachers Union and has served in various positions such as deputy director of Student Management Office and secretary of the CPC Committee of the School.

ZHANG Fubing - The “guardian” of the physical and mental health of teachers and students

ZHANG Fubing is currently the Vice Chairman of BUCEA Branch of China Democratic League, the Deputy Chief Physician of the Health Institute of BUCEA, the First Aid Trainer of the General Training Center of the Red Cross Society of China, and the Director of the Beijing Sexual Health Education Research Association.
