BUCEA wins Outstanding Organization Prize in 17th National “Challenge Cup” Special Sessions

On April 12, the closing ceremony of the 17th “Challenge Cup” National Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition for College Students and the online event themed “Participating in Technological Innovation to Build a Strong Country”, were successfully held. The events were hosted by Sichuan University and co-organized by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, All-China Students’ Federation and the People’s Government of Sichuan Province.

BUCEA has won an Outstanding Organization Award in the Special Sessions of the 17th National Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition for College Students. This is the first time that BUCEA has been awarded that prize, and BUCEA is the only prize-winner among universities funded by the Beijing municipal government. Besides, one work won the second prize in the main session, and three other works won awards in the “Advanced Technology” Special Session.

Since 1989, the biennial “Challenge Cup” National Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition for College Students has been held for 17 consecutive times. It is acclaimed as the Olympics of technological innovation and startups for Chinese college students. This year, a total of 22,000 works involving 2.2 million students from over 2,500 universities and colleges were submitted for the competition. BUCEA has won 50 national-level and Beijing municipal level awards, yielding a bumper harvest in the “Challenge Cup” competition.
