On the morning of July 12, NI Hong, Secretary of the CPC Leading Group of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, led a delegation to the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture for research and held a symposium. NI Hong presided over the symposium. During the symposium, NI Hong highly praised BUCEA’s achievements and growth momentum in recent years, expressing great appreciation for its work. He put forward four requirements and expectations for BUCEA’s future development: 1. Embrace the new era and deeply understand the new mission in the field of construction to enable comfortable housing and a happy life for the people. 2. Leverage the unique advantages of being located in Beijing and cherish the opportunity to serve the capital. 3. Seize the opportunity to drive the transformation and upgrading of BUCEA in the process of building a modernization drive with Chinese characteristics. 4. Make good use of the opportunity for cooperation between the Ministry and the city, establish a first-class housing and urban-rural development think tank, and provide intellectual support to government departments and the industry in terms of technical support, decision-making consultation, and industry development. He hopes that BUCEA will become a top-notch and internationally renowned high-level university, making new contributions to serving the construction of Beijing as the country’s political center, cultural center, international communication center and scientific and technological innovation center in the new journey.
