Recently, the list of 2023 “Beijing Scholar” was released. Prof. JIANG Jie from BUCEA, together with another 25 experts and scholars from various fields in Beijing was included in the list.
JIANG Jie, Level-2 Professor and Ph.D supervisor of BUCEA, is an expert enjoying Special Government Allowances of the State Council, and leader of a national innovation team in key areas. She was selected as 2006 “National Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Project”, 2016 National Pioneer in Talent Project, and 2018 High-level Introduced Talent Project of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, and was awarded the Xia Jianbai Surveying and Mapping Entrepreneurship and Technological Innovation Award, the National Energy Chemistry System May Day Labor Medal, the National March 8th Red Flag Bearer, the Exemplary Individual of the National Surveying and Mapping System, and the “Heroine for Surveying and Mapping Contribution” of the Ministry of Land and Resources. Prof. JIANG currently serves as the Secretary General & Fellow of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), and Vice Chairperson of the Chinese Committee of the International Council for Science of the Chinese Association for Science & Technology.
Prof. JIANG Jie’s main research directions cover spatiotemporal information modeling, remote sensing information extraction and application, network geographic information services, smart cities, and spatial data infrastructure. She led the compilation of over ten national standards and seven industry standards. In recent years, she has won one second prize in the National Science & Technology Progress Award (ranking top 1), three first prizes in the Provincial and Ministerial Science & Technology Progress Award (ranking top 1 and 2), five second prizes, and four third prizes.
“Beijing Scholar” is a high-end leading talent program approved by the Beijing Municipal Government in 2012.
